Kerr County Floods, Mid Texas, USA.
Date of Incident: - July 4th, 2025
Date: July 4, 2025 (Independence Day), the flooding began overnight, turning a celebratory holiday into tragedy
Location: Kerr County, Texas as well as other local counties.
Impact: Torrential rainfall caused historic flooding of the Guadeloupe River across the region, damaging homes, destroying camps, displacing families, and overwhelming local infrastructure.
Casualties & Damage: Several communities heavily affected; emergency services continue rescue and recovery operations. Death toll now over 107 and 161 missing.
Kendall, Travis, Burnet, Williamson, and Tom Green have all reported confirmed deaths.
At least 10 more missing individuals were reported in Travis County alone, with a handful more in Burnet and Williamson.
As of July 8, up to 161 people are still listed as missing outside of Kerr County
